We have an opportunity for an Activities Co-ordinator with a positive approach and understanding of person centred care with older people.
Job role:
Organise and co-ordinate opportunities for active daily living in the home, in conjunction with colleagues and with the support and supervision of the Home Manager.
Establish links with, and encourage involvement of, the local community in the home (e.g. schools, religious and voluntary groups, museums).
Identify the needs of all residents individually through the use of their profiles and biographies, and the service user plans.
The Person:
Experience or an understanding of working with older people and in a care setting.
Range of practical and creative skills e.g. art, crafts
Sense of humour and positive outlook
Team player working with other staff, residents and visitors
Resourceful, flexible, self-confident, sensitive and dedicated
Due to the nature of the role, clear verbal communication skills are essential
