Application Tester required to work in the defence sector, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire on a 3 month contract initially.
This role will require candidates to hold security clearance to SC level (or above) or be willing to undergo.
The skills and experience required for the role are:
Essential
• Demonstrable ability to develop and maintain clear and concise documentation to a high professional standard.
• Competency and proven ability in the use of HP Quality Center for requirements analysis, test cases, execution of tests, defect tracking and reporting.
• To be comfortable working and liaising with all levels of the business community, as well as strong customer facing skills together with good communication skills are essential.
• Required to write test scripts/scenarios, gather requirement from project documentation.
• A good understanding of application testing techniques/Methodologies
• The capacity and self-motivation required to meet the demands of the tight timelines and rapidly evolving priorities.
• Strong analytical and document reviewing experience
• Must have demonstrable experience producing test scripts and conducting functional and non-functional testing.
• Must have testing experience in DSDM, RAD and PRINCE2 environments using Oracle and Microsoft technologies including .Net framework, IIS, SQL Server 2000/2005, Oracle Application Express and Oracle 10g.
Desirable
• ISEB Foundation/Practitioner Qualification
• Experience of working within a defence environment
• Previous experience of producing automated regression packs using tools such as HP Mercury WinRunner or QTP would be an advantage.
• Previous experience working within Virtual Test Environments using technologies such as VMWare ESX, GSX, VM Server or MS Virtual Server.
