Eden Brown are currently recruiting an Interim Area Manager for a Social Housing provider in the Yorkshire area.
The role which is to cover a secondment will be interim for 6 months with a possible extension.
As Area Manager you will lead the area team to deliver high quality services to existing and potential customers whilst at the same time developing strategic partnerships with key groups to ensure business growth.
You will have direct line management of 8 to 10 staff, with overall responsibility for 35 to 40.
This post requires a leader who is pro-active and efficient, able to prioritise and make decisions.
The Area Manager will display the ability to co-ordinate a diverse workload, sometimes engaged in the detail of service delivery but more often working outside the organisation to ensure that the organisation engage in the strategic development of the communities it serves.
The Area Manager will develop close working relationships with the Board and Committee Members and Members and officers of the diverse range of statutory and voluntary agencies with whom they work.
The following requirements are essential for this role:-
Experience of managing staff & delivering an efficient customer focused service to the public.
Managing a multi-disciplinary team.
Dealing with a variety of organisations both at an operational level and strategic level.
Working within the housing sector.
Knowledgeable about the legislative and regulatory environment in which housing services are delivered.
An understanding of the policy issues and practical challenges facing housing providers working both an urban and rural environment.
Operational management and strategic decision making.
