As Assistant Manager you will be responsible for up to 25 staff in a 31 flat care home. This post involves working weekends and evenings but no nights
Duties will include but are not limited to:-
Ensuring the well-being of all residents and to ascertain the levels of care required by individuals and to ensure that these are met by good care practices. Assist in the selection of residents in accordance with the Associations policies and obligations as Contractors for Care. Oversee residents personal allowances and collection of charges each week for residents and to ensure that petty cash and welfare funds are administered conscientiously and efficiently, maintaining weekly balance checks. Report all repairs and maintenance matters to the Maintenance Department, being aware of the Association's repairs and maintenance policy. Carry out keyworker review meetings with residents ensuring a holistic approach to individual aspirations. Assist the manager in managing and monitoring staff including carrying out competence assessment and quarterly competence reviews for staff as designated, carrying out return-to-work interviews, risk assessments etc
