The Client is urgently seeking CV's for the below:
Responsible for all aspects of managing a large domiciliary care branch, with significant Local Authority contracts. Ensuring quality of service provision meets National Minimum Standards for Domiciliary care and Anchor Care Quality procedures. Effective management of all branch staff. Delivering to targets consistent with the Anchor Care business plan.
Summary of duties and accountabilities:
1.Operational Management.
1.1 Ensure branch provides services which meet the requirements of purchasers and regulators, at a level which meets business plan requirements.
1.2 Promote and maintain effective working relationships with Local Authorities and other purchasers, regulators, clients and their representatives, and potential purchasers.
1.3 Line manage branch staff ?recruiting, managing performance, monitoring and supervision. This includes daily guidance and coaching as well as formal supervision and development.
1.4 Audit and review the quality of care delivered by the branch, ensuring National Minimum Standards and AC Quality Procedures are met.
1.5 Ensure effective investigations are undertaken in accordance with internal procedures and appropriate external requirements.
1.6 Ensure the branch has appropriate, accurate and up to date records, maintained in line with regulatory and contractual requirements. This include paper and systems based record keeping.
2.People Management.
2.1 Set targets and monitor the performance against these of all branch staff.
2.2 Ensure branch meets recruitment and retention targets agreed with Regional manager, in order to meet contracted level of work.
2.3 Ensure that all new care staff are inducted appropriately and in a timely way, meeting all NMS and other contractual requirements.
2.4 Ensure there is a staff development and training programme in place for the branch which meets Anchor Care, NMS and TOPSS requirements, covers care and office staff, and is reviewed regularly.
2.5 Ensure all staff receive an effective appraisal/ supervision on a quarterly basis, which addresses performance and training issues.
2.6 Regularly audit and appraise training delivered in the branch for quality and consistency.
3.Business Skills.
3.1 Deliver a plan for the levels of operation, growth and performance in the branch which has been agreed with the Regional Manager, and addresses the needs of the local market.
3.2 Responsible for cost control in the branch including agency costs, office resources and staff training, making recommendations to the Regional manager in relation to pay and charge decisions.
3.3 Ensure the branch uses and maintains Anchor Care?s systems effectively and consistently, within agreed procedures.
3.4 Work effective with the AC finance team to ensure all appropriate income for the branch is collected accurately and in a timely fashion.
3.5 Provide information for the Regional Manager in tenders and acquisition opportunities, which include contract prices/ uplifts.
3.6 Make effective business decisions which support the Anchor Care business plan, seeking input from the Regional manager where appropriate.
3.7 Ensure regular reports and monitoring information are provided to purchasers, regulators and the AC Leadership Team.
