Our client, a chartered professional membership body is seeking to recruit a Business Manager. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a new sales plan to meet targets for individual membership and training course revenue in the organisation.
The role will involve:
• Identifying target organisation and developing ongoing relationships with them within various sectors. • Sourcing potential education centres for the organisation to work with. • Promoting membership to local organisations and individuals • Finding relevant events and conferences that may provide a route to potential members. • Providing control information to monitor implementation of sales plans.
The successful candidate will have: • A business management or marketing qualification, such as a CIM qualification • Track record in a sales context, preferably in a related industry • Track record in managing and developing customer relationships • An ability to develop and implement sales plans. • Capable of representing the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations • An ability to negotiate and close sales • An overall understanding of the structure of quality and excellence market in the UK • Experience working with customer databases to store and extract relevant marketing information
