The Client is urgently seeking candiates for the below:
Main responsibilities ? To provide high quality care to residents and leadership with support and supervision to staff. ? To be an integral member of the senior team responsible for achieving high professional standards of care in accordance with Anchor's policies, the Nursing & Midwifery Council, the Commission for Social Care Inspection, and other legislation directly relating to the home and its residents. ? To be an integral member of the senior team managing the day-to-day operation of the home ? To be responsible for the home in the Home Manager?s absenceSummary of duties 1Clinical Delivery: 1.1 To provide and maintain a high level of care adapted to meetthe needs of residents and ensure they receive appropriate intervention, maintaining the standards set at local and national level. 1.2 To negotiate individual care plans with residents, continually assessing and evaluating to ensure that the agreed outcomes are adequately met. 1.3 Where appropriate, liaise with other members of the primary care multidisciplinary team in planning, delivering and evaluating care to improve outcomes for residents. 1.4 To identify, apply and disseminate relevant research findings within their area of practice. 1.5 To participate in clinical practice development. 1.6 To act as a role model for the care team through effective relationships with residents, colleagues and other agencies. 1.7 To undertake advanced clinical skills including PEG feeds, venepuncture, and other procedures as required following appropriate training. 2. Managerial: 2.1 To be responsible for the line management and clinical supervision of nursing staff. 2.2 To be professionally accountable for the work delegated to other members of the skill mix team, including line management and supervision. 2.3 To assist in the management of the budget, ensuring effective use of resources. 2.4 To participate in the recruitment, training and management of staff in accordance with Anchor?s Equal Opportunities and other Human Resources Policies. 3. Clinical Governance: 3.1 To be responsible for own professional development and to keep up to date with current issues in identified professional field. This is to include attendance and participation at related meetings, mandatory and in-service study days. 3.2 To identify and address own clinical supervision needs. 3.3 To participate in the appraisal system and maintain own portfolio. 3.4 To be aware of relevant policies, procedures and guidelines relating to own professional field. 3.5 To work within guidelines of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and to follow local protocols and policy guidelines. 3.6 To be involved in all aspects of clinical governance including audits and the effective and safe use of resources and equipment. 3.7 To manage and record information on the appropriate documentation as per NMC guidelines and as required by the service. 4. Education 4.1 If an assessor or verifier, or mentor for nursing students, to take responsibility for the teaching, assessing and support of the students, meeting the aims and objectives by the course/university/college. 4.2 To provide clinical expertise in practice application This role definition is not exhaustive but gives a general outline of the tasks required of the post holder. From time to time the post holder may be asked to carry out additional reasonable tasks as appropriate to the needs of the business. As such this role definition will be subject to revision as required.
