Our client, a West Midlands NHS organisation, is urgently seeking a Commissioning Manager of Planned Care to Support the Head of Commissioning Strategy on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be required to:
•Develop borough-wide Commissioning strategies and frameworks for implementation which reflect local health improvement and inequalities issues for identified areas.
•Support locality managers to implement these at a local level.
•Support the joint commissioning of services, in partnership with policy / strategic JPU leads to ensure commissioning strategies and plans are in place for all major joint areas, leading on the development of plans where necessary.
•Work with PBC cluster teams to implement local and national targets through the robust commissioning of contracts, which are directly associated to the organisations targets.
The successful candidate will be well versed in planned care commissioning, with:
•Experience of strategic planning and implementation of strategic plans, including leading significant service change / improvement
•Significant achievement at a senior level - 3 years NHS experience
•Use of patient and public involvement in service delivery and / or service planning
