Eden Brown are currently recruiting an Interim Communications Manager for a Local Authority based in South Yorkshire. The contract will be initially for 6 months, and requires somebody to start ASAP.
The key tasks which will be the initial main focus of the Communications Manager are;
To develop a communications strategy for the partnership. Establish arrangements for regular MP's briefings on the organisations work and key issues. In consultation with the team, organise best practice events within the sub region to share learning from the Pathfinder programme on specific issues. Produce material to promote good news stories from the Pathfinder programme. Develop and improve the organisations website.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the PR implications of Housing Market Renewal, including sensitive and controversial issues. They will also have the ability to develop a proactive communications programme for the Housing Market Renewal pathfinder.
Experience of Communications work, preferably in a public sector environment including: media relations, producing publicity and information, commissioning design work and organising events and conferences.
