Eden Brown are currently recruiting for a Communications Officer to assist the community and media engagement manager on implementing Doncaster NDC's communication and marketing activities and ensure that communications effectively support the aims and objectives of the New Deal for Communities Programme.
Main duties and responsibilities:
·To write and publish information on the NDC website.
·To assist in the production of and contribute towards the organisations newsletters and publications. This will include going out into the community to source and report on stories affecting NDC residents.
·To research best practice and draft copy for NDC's Annual report.
·To maintain and develop communications methods such as the NDC notice boards and photo gallery.
·To support NDC's press office function, assisting on the development of effective media relations and drafting press releases.
·To represent NDC at local and regional communications networking meetings.
·To provide assistance at events and meetings as required.
Person spec:
·Experience of delivering communications plans for a mix of services or products.
·Evidence of working across the various communications skills sets, eg marketing, advertising, public relations, media relations, design and production.
·Exceptional writing skills.
·Good interpersonal skills.
·Willingness to work antisocial hours from time to time.
