We are currently recruiting into two temporary positions for London Borough's. These are exciting opportunities to join the Drug and Alcohol Teams in a senior capacity.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall development, coordination and implementation of the Drug Interventions Programme (DIP). DIP includes Throughcare, Aftercare, Arrest Referral, Test On Arrest, Restrictions On Bail and Data management.
DIP is a Home Office initiative which aims to reduce drug related crime by accessing more problematic drug users, getting them into treatment, retaining them in treatment and supporting them through and after treatment and sentences.
You will have responsibility for the development, implementation and local delivery of the Drug Interventions Programme. To line manage the DIP Data Manager and ensure that effective process and outcome monitoring mechanisms are implemented.
You will have responsibility for the direct commissioning and expenditure of the Drug Interventions Programme budget. To be considered for this role, it is essential to have specialist knowledge of substance misuse in either a commissioning or treatment setting or knowledge of the Criminal Justice System. This is a managerial role so you will need to have previous experience of staff management and appraisals.
