We are currently seeking a Data Support Officer to work within a Drug and Alcohol Team (DAT) based in a local authority based in East London.
The Data Officer Worker will be based within the DAT and will be responsible for providing a high level of information support to the team. Duties will include collation and manipulation of raw data relating to the Needs Assessment project as required, updating and cleansing monthly graphs and analysing data tables and cleansing and validation of the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System database (NDTMS). As the Data Support Officer you will also be responsible for cross-referencing data from the NDTMS and DIR-web databases to enhance internal consistency and providing remote assistance with the introduction of new NDTMS data monitoring systems at partner agencies across the borough.
You will need to posses detailed knowledge of information technology, including advanced, detailed experience of Microsoft Excel, Word, and good basic maths and data management skills. Knowledge and understanding of local government, drug treatment practises, as well as the Criminal Justice system and its constituent agencies is desirable. Analytical skills and well developed logical problem-solving ability is essential.
