NVQ Assessor Job Description
An NVQ assessor is typically required to:
- Visiting learners in the workplace and assessing / tutoring them in their NVQ qualifications and ensure the successful outcome for the NVQ in line with contractual requirements and targets
- Train, support and help learners with the course
- Plan and deliver training courses as well as examin
- Good administration in maintaining documentation on learners' NVQ records
- Creating learner portfolios to agreed target standards and ensure they are submitted on time.
- Assisting with development of the course to ensure the course is up to date
- Liaise with the course tutor to ensure that the learners needs are met on the course

What qualifications do I need to be an NVQ Assessor?
Some jobs will provide training if you have no specific NVQ Assessor qualification. In this case when applying for a job relevant experience in that industry sector will be advantageous. For more experienced NVQ assessor jobs you will be required to be qualified at D32, D33/A1 or D34/V1 with more senior roles requiring qualifications at A2 level and specific qualifications within your chosen industry sector.

Salary
- Salaries can range from £16,000 to £30,000
- Salaries are dependent on your experience, industry sectors and location.
