A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work with caseload of young people who are not in mainstream education, employment or training. Our client, a leading regeneration charity based in East London is looking for a Team Leader to work alongside their alternative curriculum programme. The charity runs alternative education courses in City and Guild Construction Awards; Customer Care, Numeracy/ECDL and Literacy/PHSE. Young people attending these courses will have the opportunity to progress into education, employment or further training. As the team leader, you would be given a caseload of young people who are deemed to be at risk, or who fall into the category of NEET (not in education, employment or training) and support them into sustainable employment or further education. Within the caseload you would be responsible for producing high quality reports and action plans for individual learners. The post holder will develop and co-ordinate an individual timetable of provision for each learner liaising closely with other staff and external providers. The candidate would need to hold a level 3 JNC qualification. Experience in developing and implementing educational programmes for hard to reach young people. Experience in writing reports and implementing action plans. A current enhanced CRB is mandatory and the possession of a driving license which permits you to drive a minibus in the UK would be needed.
