Educational Learning Support Worker
One of the Midland's largest Further Education colleges is looking for experienced teaching assistants and learning support assistants to join its expanding team in September.
The college has a fantastic provision for students and learners with learning, mental and physical disabilities. There are a range of academic and vocational courses and a huge number of resources.
As a support worker you could help those with learning difficulties or physical disabilities in class with their studies, or around the college getting to and from class. Students ages will range from 14 to adults.
You should have excellent written and spoken English and Numeracy skills, and be patient to work with these students. Your commitment to helping these students will be paramount, so your punctuality and reliability will be essential.
You will be paid 7-10 per hour and the contract may go through until July 2009. Full time and part time hours are available with flexibility being key to this role.
This is a brilliant opportunity if you don't have much experience within the Education sector and want to gain experience towards becoming a teacher. There are even opportunities to gain teaching qualifications whilst working.
