East London local authority is looking for a qualified Environmental Health Officer (EHORB registered) to carry out food safety inspections and complaint work.
You will undertake complex programmed and complaint audits, inspections, surveys and investigations under all the relevant Environmental Health legislation, including visiting sites.
You will initiate and carry out enforcement and legal process functions in residential and all types of commercial premises, including the prosecution, seizure or detention of goods, issuing of notices, application for and execution of warrants necessitating forced entry.
You will need to produce witness statements, attend Court and act as expert witness on behalf of the Council.
Rates quoted range from paye to limited company.
