We have an opportunity for a Handyperson/ Gardener with a positive approach and an interest in person centred care with older people.
Job role:
Contribute to the quality of life of residents by ensuring that the home and garden are maintained to a high standard as required.
Carry out repairs and maintenance to a high standard as directed by the senior team. Awareness and adherence to the list of permitted tasks as specified in the Anchor Homes Health and Safety manual.
Attend manual handling training and all other relevant training and follow the guidance received.
The Person:
Proven range of practical skills including maintenance and gardening
Sense of humour and positive outlook
Team player working with other staff, residents and visitors
Resourceful, flexible, self-confident, sensitive and dedicated
Due to the nature of the role, clear verbal communication skills are essential
