Head of Service Management Division: Strategic Resource Management Band: F Team: Strategic Systems Group(SSG) People Managed: 2 - 4 Reports to: Director of Strategic Systems (Line) and Minerva Project Manager as a matrix report until services go live.
As the Diploma Aggregation Service moves into live operation, we need a service management team in place to facilitate the people and processes required for this transition. In the short term, you will develop the service management function, using your IT systems management experience to ensure that the Diploma Aggregation Service can be used efficiently. However, following the transition, the role's focus will expand to effectively becoming CEO of this new service organisation.
You will manage 3rd party contracts and IT services relevant to delivering the service, and develop the personnel structure and business plans of this small organisation, continuing on their previous work but with a new commercial focus.
We're seeking someone with a service management background, who has managed IT processes at a senior level as well as complex customer/stakeholder relationships. An understanding of both marketing and financial aspects of business will be desirable, but above all candidates will need the drive and determination to guide this small but critical organisation.
