A position has arisen for for a Housing Advisor for a North London Council's Housing Needs Service
Key Responsibilities:
To advise and assist customers and/or their authorised agents on eligibility, rights, duties, legislation and policy
To interpret relevant legislation and communicate this in an understandable manner to customers
To take a casework approach to a customer's enquiries, ensuring that all factors are taken into account when assessing a response
Essential Requirements:
Ideally have worked in a legal capacity as an advisor/advocate (eg. Citizen's Advice Bureau or Shelter)
Be confident in using IT systems
