An interesting interim position has come up in East London working for a Local Authority's ALMO as a Housing Disrepair Manager.
The role will encompass the management and development of the disrepair service with a specific responsibility for managing cases, both actual and threatened litigation, brought against the ALMO and the Council.
Key Responsibilities: Negotiating with tenants' solicitors to limit liability to the ALMO Acting as lead officer in developing appropriate policies and procedures to improve the service To manage all staff within the Housing Disrepair Team
Essential Requirements: Knowledge of legislation relating to statutory disrepair Knowledge and understanding of the current local Government relationships between Councils, ALMOS and Partners Knowledge of landlord tenant law and Procedure relating to public sector tenancy management. Experience of staff management
