Our Social Housing client, based in South Oxfordshire, is looking for a temporary Housing Needs Officer, for a period of 2-3 months.
The role is to ensure that people in housing needs have access to the housing and support neccesary to meet their needs.
Therefore the role will include providing housing advice to people in all tenures and to refer customers to specialist services where appropriate,assisting in maintaining the Council's Housing Register, assessing and processing housing applications in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures,plus contributing to the prevention of homelessness by assisting people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to resolve their housing need.
To apply you should have strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and experience of undertaking homelessness interviews and investigations.
You should also have access to a vehicle and be able to start at short notice.
