My client is looking for an experienced Housing Officer on a permanent basis.
The role This varied and challenging role will involve: ·Undertaking and reporting on home visits to existing and prospective tenants. ·Meeting new applicants, explaining tenancy agreements and carrying out follow up visits. ·Regular inspection of allocated ‘patch' including dealing with issues such as abandoned cars, monitoring of caretaking/grounds maintenance services, vandalism and graffiti. ·Carrying out tenancy audits, transfer review visits, and working with residents on anti-social behaviour issues.
The candidate ·Must have knowledge and understanding of Housing Law relevant to landlord and tenant and of current housing and estate management issues are essential for this role ·Ideally, you will possess or working towards a Chartered Institute of Housing qualification. However, applicants with experience in a similar field of work and who are looking for a change in career will be considered. ·Must be self-motivated, well organised and a confident communicator.
