Immigration: Job description
Immigration officers work within the The Border and Immigration Agency branch of the Home Office to maintain immigration control within the UK. Immigration jobs require a great deal of skill including knowledge of immigration law, the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, ability to asses and examine passports/documentation papers, communicating with different agencies (local authorities, housing, police) and outlining the deportation of people who are in breach of the immigration law.
