This London Borough is looking for an experienced Information Management Officer to contribute to the council's Information Management strategies and policies under the Data Protection Act 1998, Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005.
You will be required to process requests for information in accordance with information related legislation and regulations. Log, distribute and monitor information requests. Provide guidance on the application of exemptions/exceptions. Publish performance information.
Responsibilities will include, producing, maintaining and publishing corporate information management related guidance covering all aspects of information security and information governance.
To be considered for this role Information Management experience is necessary, either in records management, document management or librarianship. Experience in information management and data sharing and a thorough technical understanding of current systems, data structures and the way in which information can be integrated would also be useful.
