Our client, a highly prestigious East Anglian NHS organisation, is urgently seeking a number of commissioning and contract managers on an interim basis. Reporting to the Associate Director of Commissioning, the successful post-holder will be responsible for
•The negotiation and development of contracts and communicate highly complex sensitive or contentious information to interested parties.
•Implementing procurement policy and process, supporting the development and implementation of the organisations commissioning strategies for out of hospital and acute care, leading on service design, review and influencing clinicians on pathway redesign.
•Developing and ensuring the implementation of a set of processes which deliver robust contracting arrangements, ensuring quality outcomes and overall health improvements.
•Ensuring that relevant service level agreements including specific contractual quality standards are developed, monitored and managed.
•Ensuring Contracting arrangements demonstrate value for money.
The successful post holder will work on specific designated areas within the directorate to develop best practice around the World Class Commissioning Assurance framework and disseminate this information and learning to the rest of the team.
Our client requires that the post-holder possess excellent working knowledge of NHS contracts, tendering and commissioning procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively with clinicians to a goal of service improvement in primary care.
