Interim Homelessness Manager required to work on a temporary contract for 6 months in the North Yorkshire area. The main duties of the role will be to manage a team of 4 advisers. Contribute to the effectiveness of the housing advise service. Ensure obligations under the Housing and Homelessness act are fulfilled. Ensure that all housing options are explored in cases to minimise opportunities for preventing homelessness. Develop and manager services for the provision of housing options. Assist in making strategic decisions regarding the service.
Candidates must have previous line management responsibility withing a homelessness/ housing options service. Candidates must also have detailed knowledge of the Housing and Homelessness Act.
