An exciting opportunity has arisen for an International Business Manager to work for a Government Agency in South East England.
You will be required to attract high value added foreign direct investment (working with a wide portfolio of innovative and technology driven SME overseas companies) into South East England.
Against UK and European Competition, the International Business Manager will work with senior decision makers in overseas companies and UKTI posts to demonstrate the commercial benefits of establishing a profitable business in the South East of England. You will work with public and private sector organisations at a National, Regional and Local level to present the regions benefits as a location for international business and project manage a clients investment.
You will work within a division working closely with UK Governments national investment agency (UKTI) and will play an important role in presenting positive and professional service to clients seeking to enter a UK/European market.
You will be responsible for handling all initial enquiries from overseas companies and producing proposals setting out the commercial benefits of investing in the region. You will also be responsible for handling overseas company visits to the region to proactively sell the business environment and ensure the client is convinced that South East is the right location for their investment.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience of working in Inward Investment/Economic Development field
- Good knowledge of the South East of England
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
It would also be beneficial for the successful applicant to have some sort of sales experience.
This position is to cover maternity leave on a 9 month contract. The closing date for CV's to be submitted is close of business on Friday 5th September.
