Our client is an award winning housing association based in Staffordshire and they are currently looking to recruit a Kickstart Project Officer to join their team.
As the transformation of Stoke on Trent progresses with the RENEW North Staffordshire Housing Market Renewal Programme, Community Services are expanding and enhancing their services throughout the city.
The Kickstart project is making a real difference to the lives and housing situation of local people. It helps vulnerable and low income homeowners to access equity loans to carry out repairs and achieve the government's Decent Homes Standard.
As Kickstart Project Officer, you will provide practical and technical advice to homeowners who wish to undertake repairs and improvements. The advice and assistance you give will vary widely, and will include such areas as energy efficiency, rewires, roof repairs, kitchen and bathroom modernisation. Throughout the process, you will support your clients closely, including assessing work and assisting with access to an Independent Financial Advisor. You will also be responsible for overseeing the work to achieve the Decent Homes Standard as well as making sure that value for money and quality is achieved.
You will also support the Kickstart Project Co-ordinator and help to deliver the scheme by providing a pre and post works inspection service, and liaising with clients and contractors. To do this, you will need to have a thorough knowledge of the government's Decent Homes Standard.
