An opportunity as a temporary Licensing Enforcement Officer role has just opened up at Southend on Sea Borough Council.
The initial requirement is likely to be for 3 months with the possibility of an extension.
Duties:
Manage the process of Licensing Panel Hearings from setting hearing dates and writing reports through to attendance to present the reports to Panel Members.
Provide support and guidance to Members, Residents, Applicants and Officers of all levels as required, ensuring high levels of customer care at all times.
Provide per-application advice to applicants or agents for complex or controversial cases received for all types of licences.
Implement new processes and procedures of Licensing work, resulting from changes in all Licensing areas including Licensing and Gambling legislation and policy.
Requirements:
You will need to have a strong knowledge of the licensing act, and as seaside town with a high proportion of gambling premises, a good knowledge of the gambling act too.
