M & E Minor New Works Project Manager required in North Yorkshire
1) To carry out the project management of Minor new works from conception to completion in accordance with the clients recognised standards of productivity, quality and compliance with essential health and safety provisions. 2) To assist the clients Site teams on the delivery of PPM & Response maintenance & Lifecycle Replacement programmes during periods of low activity on Minor New works.
§ To control and manage all activities on Minor New Work projects and ensuring that contractors carry out the works to fulfil their obligations within agreed timescales, and in accordance with all statutory and mandatory requirements and all other legislation and standards.§ Prepare technical specifications, schedules of work, contract documentation etc. Invite quotations / prices from the Approved Supply Chain; review/evaluate returned prices, liaising with Contractors as necessary to ensure that prices are fully compliant and within the project cost accepted by the Client. § Prepare and regularly update project programmes, providing written reports and documentation as required by the Regional or Area New Works Managers.§ Production of Project Management Plans for those projects within responsibility of MNW Project Manager§
Liaise closely with Site Establishment Representatives (SERs) and Facility Managers to identify and scope new work projects at the designated establishments.§ Prepare and update target costs liaising with the in-house Commercial team where necessary, and ensuring that the Area MNW Manager is kept fully appraised of project costs.§ To manage the works to meet funding parameters and commitments and to obtain Value for Money (VFM).§ To oversee the effective and timely delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive works.§ To monitor Direct Service Providers (DSP's) and Supply Chain performance, service delivery, quality and safe working on site.§ To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessment and coaching to ensure teams are performing to agreed service and production levels§ To monitor DSP and Supply chain work teams to ensure that Operatives have appropriate resources to perform allocated jobs
To perform audits on completed and in progress works.§ To comply with all Health and Safety and Sustainability policies and procedures pertaining to your job role.
