An exciting Temp to Perm position has arised working in Central London for a leading Educational Institute in their Estates Department. The Successful Candidate will be educated to a NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing/ Advanced Certificate in Plumbing or Equivalent. The Candidate will have at least 3 years experience in their trade and have good interpersonal skills and work well in a team.
In specific terms the role holder will be required to:
1. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and day-to-day tasks of mechanical and engineering nature to provide a safe working environment at all times applying a full working knowledge and proficiency in all estates works.
2. Survey works, obtain quotations and order materials for both maintenance and new works to provide a timely and effective response to all tasks.
3. Assist the Mechanical Supervisor as and when required on any aspect of specialist trade requirements.
4. Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in the preparation of building condition surveys and data for backlog maintenance works.
5. Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in the execution of his duties with regards to works being undertaken by external contractors.
6. Liaise directly on a day-to-day basis with customers to ensure that works are conducted at the most appropriate time and in the most cost effective manner either in-house or by external contractor.
7. Report any additional building defects (of whatever nature) to the Mechanical Supervisor or administrative support staff.
