A fantastic opportunity to join a professional and well respected Children's charity in a key role as Membership Account Officer. Through customer relationship management, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the development, recruitment and retention of the membership scheme, with a view to increasing membership support from Local Authorities and larger organisations, to enhance income and fundraising from this source.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing and delivering membership recruitment campaigns to drive growth of the Membership scheme with Local Authorities, and other large organisations. You will be building relationships with key contacts within these organisations, in order to maximise their usage of the Charity member benefits, and ensure year on year membership renewals and growth.
Proactively working with members of the Charity's senior management team to develop working relationships with Local Authorities.
Preparing and implementing marketing plans.
Developing retention initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
Attending exhibitions to promote the charity's services and resources to potential and existing members.
Related administration duties.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and proven networking skills.
Evidence of dealing with a range of people at all levels.
Marketing experience.
Knowledge of, or an interest in, issues affecting children and young people.
Experience of working with, or good knowledge of, how Local Authorities are run would be an advantage.
Previous experience within a Membership organisation, or of dealing with membership growth and retention would also be an advantage.
