Network Architect (Windows) required to work in the public sector based in Milton Keynes on a 6 month contract initially.
The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and implementing small and large scale windows systems, creation and maintenance of technical documentation for architecture and design level specs, implementation/migration processes and procedures, build guides and unit and integration test plans.
The essential skills and experience required for this role are:
• Experience in designing and implementing small and large scale windows systems
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for architecture and design level specs, implementation/migration processes and procedures, build guides, unit and integration test plans
• Excellent communications skills (will involve liaison with customer/ and 3rd party application suppliers)
• Well grounded technical experience and multi-service infrastructure and engineering skills
• Strong practical knowledge of IP network services for Internet and intranet technologies
• Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
• MCSE 2003 Certified, has at least 3 years Windows experience and must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following windows areas: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows Vista, Windows 2003 & 2008, Windows Virtualization, File Migration, Networking
• Knowledge of the HP (Compaq) infrastructure - servers, storage etc
Candidates will need to have current and active security clearance to SC level or above for this role.
