A renowned National Arts Charity is seeking a confident and dedicated Press Officer to join their creative team on an Interim basis
The successful Press Officer will be responsible for securing a positive public image for the Charity by managing proactive and reactive media relations, devising and implementing media campaigns for their innovative programme of exhibitions and events, as well as acting as a spokesman for the charities media to respond to any criticism they may face.
The appointed Press Officer's activities will also include; developing and implementing creative PR plans for specific projects to raise the charities profile among target audiences; project managing several campaigns, meeting tight deadlines and budgets, as well as writing and overseeing all press releases and briefings.
The Press Officer will also be expected to undertake consistent monitoring of PR activities and, developing and maintaining the materials needed to provide an efficient media office service including; media releases, media packs, photographs and media tool kits.
Ideally the post holder will have previous experience in a public relations role, dealing with the media at a national level and managing complex issues; have previous experience in the Art's sector and show demonstrate previous success in achieving positive press coverage.
The successful applicant will be hungry for a challenge, keen to further their career within the charity/ not-for-profit sector and enjoy working in a close knit team.
