Our client an executive agency of the government is seeking to appoint an Interim Contracts and Procurement Manager to join the Project and Business Management team.
The Main duties of the role include:
- Contracting with external suppliers undertaking the procurement of goods and services for the organisation
- Contract Management of the relationships with service providers including monitoring delivery, administering contracts and providing advice to colleagues and customers on all aspects of agreed contracts.
- Drafting tender and contract documentation based on established procurement models
- Identifying and obtaining data to monitor actual delivery performance against agreed KPIs
- Ensuring ordering and payment procedures meet the expectations of all parties
The key skills required for the role include:
- Must have worked in a similar role within Government
- Several years working experience within procurement dealing with contracts
- A knowledge and practice of supply chain management, commercial relationships, service and product specification, sourcing, negotiation, theory and application of contract law
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently by themselves and within a team environment
