Our client is a large multi-national company. Its UK business employs over 24000 staff with annual turnover in excess of £950million. They urgently require a highly experienced Project Manager/ Surveyor to join their expanding team.
As a Project Manager/ Surveyor you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the design and execution of new build construction and refurbishment works.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong surveying background, able to carry out a varied workload. The role will include construction management, project design and contract administration, whilst providing professional advice to clients on property legislation, health and safety and maintenance relating to commercial/light industrial premises. You will have experience in construction legislation, building regulations, refurbishment projects and extensions
Key Tasks
Design & Development of building projects using Microsoft and AutoCAD software applications Compilation of Construction budgets and feasibility studies to support business plan Production of building specifications, tender documents, and build programmes Production and management of statutory applications and approval notices Appointment and control of project teams to include external consultants, contractors and suppliers CDM Strategic reporting and review to project sponsor Defects analysis and reporting on general property maintenance requirements
Requirements
Proven solid experience of Project Management within a surveying environment Experience of managing projects of £200,000+ and assisting with projects of £5 million+ A degree or diploma in Building/Construction is preferred A good level of both written and verbal communication and report writing skills Membership of the CIOB or RICS would be an advantage A clean valid driving license Willingness to travel within the UK
