Temporary Purchasing Manager required by a leading Housing Association for a period of up to 15 months.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient and effective purchasing of goods and services required by the Association ensuring value for money. Key duties will include:
1. Developing the purchasing policy and procedures for the Association in relation to goods and services required.
2. Developing the use of the Oracle Purchasing System to meet the requirements of the Association and to provide cost effective purchasing methods
3. Evaluation of the current procurement supply base and develop new or existing suppliers to support future requirements.
4. Negotiating terms duly balancing the criteria of price with required quality, standard of service and reliability
5. Developing systems to effectively monitor the performance of suppliers including quality, deliveries to timescale and value for money.
6. Staff and budgetary management.
The salary range for this position is £34,985 plus £4,727 car allowance.
