We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant within a Local Government organisation in London.
The role requires at least 2 years management experience and at least 5 years experience working within a large public sector organisation, ideally in management or financial accounts.
Purpose of the Job:
To be responsible for the provision of an accountancy service required in the operation of a major service area including financial controls and management accounting information.
To manage the preparation of the budget and monitor expenditure against those budgets.
To assist in the closing of the accounts and in the preparation of the revenue account and statutory accounts for the organisation.
To deputise for the Group Accountant as necessary, jointly with the other Senior Accountant.
Successful candidates must be fully qualified accountants and have a flexible approach to work.
