Senior Materials Technician in Shropshire until November and a Materials Technician until October for the above address. Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible implementing Constructional Services UKAS accredited systems on a contract to replace an aircraft hard standing at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire.
Work will include production testing of concrete aggregates; sub-base and fresh and hardened concrete testing as detailed in MOD Specification 33. The peak concrete production is expected to be 150m³ a day. Sampling and testing of other materials may be required. PQ concrete production is expected to last until the end of October with testing of the laid material completed by end of November. Overtime working may be expected.
The ideal candidate will have experience of site batching plant production control testing; hand laid wet lean and PQ concrete testing in a military establishment with the associated checks that are involved.
Required Skills/Qualifications : The successful candidates must have a CSCS card and full PPE, including safety boots not rigger boots. Pay rate is negotiable. There is a GOR on this site for the candidates to be able to provide a British passport as the site is a MOD base.
