Storage Support Engineer is required to focus on continuous operation of the clients backup, SAN and storage environment to ensure data storage consistency and recoverability. Backup is mainly based around Veritas Netbackup and secondly HP Data Protector.
Skills required:
2 years practical experience in 1 or more of Cisco, Brocade, McData switches
2 years practical experience in EMC and or XP, EVA, storage arrays
2 years practical experience in managing large SAN Fabrics
Knowledge of at least Sun Solaris together with one or more of HP-UX, AIX, Tru-64, Linux system administration
Knowledge of Win2000 Server
You will solve and prevent incidents, problems, help develop storage and backup concepts (software/hardware), configure new implementations, consult your Team Leader and the customer and keep contact with the customer and provide monthly SLA reporting and metrics.
Possess good problem solving skills.
The hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
