We are currently seeking an experienced Strategic Commissioning Officer to work within a Children's and Young Peoples Service (CYPS) in a local authority based in South West London.
The Strategic Commissioning Officer is responsible for taking the lead role strategic planning and commissioning of services for vulnerable young people. Another purpose of the role is to take a lead in the development of joint commissioning with the CYPS and with the Primary Care Trust and other key partners. Other duties will include; collating, analysing and disseminating policy and practice information and being responsible for ensuring that Equalities and Diversity are incorporated within all aspects of this role.
You will need to have experience of working collaboratively and in partnership with service users and stakeholders to ensure a responsive and co-ordinated service. You will also need to have experience or an understanding of planning and commissioning issues for vulnerable children and young people along with experience of using management information for both performance management and reporting purposes.
