Our client is a not-for-profit organisation, the deliver services to over 7,000 people who have some form of support or care needs. They are looking for a Supported Housing Officer for a project in South East London.
The project is for men aged 17 - 25 years from a BME background. The successful candidate must have:
Experience of working with men from a BME background
Experience of working with ex offenders
Experience of providing Housing Management
Be able to complete Housing Benefit forms, liaise with Housing Benefit and be able to ensure tenants receive full benefit entitlements
Be able to monitor rent payments and take action to pursue rent arrears
Be able to key work and draw up effective support plans
Be able to advocate on behalf of tenants
Be able to develop a good rapport with tenants and be able to engage them in meaningful further education or training
An awareness of Health & Safety issues
You MUST have a current enhanced CRB check
