System Tester - NHS/Healthcare BCSS - Leeds
Our client is looking for an experienced System Tester to be based in Leeds.
The role will be to undertake testing of newly developed facilities within the BCSS (Bowl Cancer Screening System) Project so experience within this project previously is required.
Role Overview:
Undertake testing of newly developed Bowel Cancer Screening functionality, together with regression testing as appropriate. This would include design, execution and reporting of tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques and conforming to agreed standards, to ensure that new and amended software, together with any interfaces, performs as specified and intended.
Key Result Areas:
1.Understand software functionality and determine set of test conditions
2.Writing of appropriate test scripts to ensure that test conditions are satisfied
3.Interprets and executes supplied test cases using agreed methods and standards
4.Documents test failures and successes compared with pre-determined criteria
5.Reports test results to manager and/or other colleagues in a clear and concise manner
6.Assists other members of the systems development team improve software functionality and performance by discussing test results with them
7.Familiarisation with the Bowel Cancer Screening system and understand existing functionality, standards for screen layout and navigation etc.
8.Study Requirement Specifications and Developers Notes and be able to produce documented test conditions for software application development in line with the time scale indicated on the project plan.
10.Writing and reviewing test scripts
11.Perform software testing following test scripts, ensuring that issues a logged and re-tested.
