Our Client and Executive Agency of the Government is looking to employ a Team Leader in the Transfer of Records to lead a team supporting government departments in reviewing their holdings of records.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading a team in supporting government departments in scoping and managing changes from the Government review of when public records become widely and proactively accessible to the public
- Taking the lead in the roll out of the Seamless Flow transfer system
- Making newly opened records and their catalogues available to all users; monitoring the accessioning process and ensuring that records are acquired and accessioned in line with agreed targets
- Monitoring transfer objectives and managing team performance
The key skills required for the role include:
- Knowledge of information, archives and records management practices
- An understanding of new technology and its influence on information management in government and the wider environment
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Previous experience in managing a team
