A Technical Subject Matter Expert is required to assess the impact of a replacement Laboratory Management Information System with a single networked solution. The SME must be able to demonstrate the necessary experience to assess the impact of these requirements on the approach being proposed for the LIMS and RMS (Radiology Management System) solutions.
The following provides an indication of the key competencies that will be required:
• Knowledge and experience of large scale infrastructure (networking) projects
• Knowledge of hospital based pathology
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems
• Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems and PACS
• Good communication skills:-
o Stakeholder and group facilitation
o Technical documentation and authoring skills
o Team working
• NHS knowledge and experience for example: processes, language, terminology
• Proven track record within Public sector environment
Effective Report Preparation Skills
Effective Presentation Skills
Understanding of Network Architecture including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Understanding of Clinical information/NHS Solutions
Completer/Finisher
• Experience of technical report writing
• Experience of large scale complex network infrastructure projects
