Trust Director
A central London based professional membership organisation, operating in the area of education and animal welfare wish to appoint a high-calibre individual to become their Trusts Director.
The organisation is well established and has a charitable Trust whose main objectives are to raise funds for a historic library and information service as well as the promotion of medical training and research. The Trust is also responsible for providing grants and scholarships.
The Trust Director will be responsible for the management of fundraising schemes to secure operating income as well as Trust grant-making; devise and implement fundraising proposals; cultivate and maintain relationships with Trust supporters; budgetary control; Board level presentations and the line management of six staff.
Therefore, the Trust Director should have a proven track record of fundraising from trusts, corporate, individual and legacy sources with some experience of grant management and administration. He/she will be a strategic thinker capable of developing and moving the Trust forward and will be expected to represent the Trust publicly. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to manage and motivate a small team are essential. Experience of business planning and strong IT skills will also be necessary.
