An experienced Visiting Officer is required to reduce the number of households living in temporary accommodation in this North London Borough.
Key Responsibilities:
To visit households in temporary accommodation to conduct occupancy checks.
To give advice about rehousing and other options available.
To carry out the target number of visits required by the Team Leader, arranging them to achieve the highest possible “success rate”.
To provide high quality and comprehensive written reports of every visit
Essential Requirements:
Working knowledge of Housing Act 1996 Part VI and VII will be an advantage
Working knowledge of benefit fraud legislation and practices is an advantage
Experience of visiting customers in their own homes or lone working is essential.
