Our client, a West Midlands PCT, is urgently seeking a Workforce Planning Manager for an exciting new investment in primary care. The candidate will be reporting to the Strategic Workforce Transformation Lead for a period of 6 months. The successful candidate will be required to;
•Develop workforce plans that include a breakdown by profession/role, training needs analysis and an understanding of new roles with the supporting implementation plan.
•Work with managers, staff and project groups to facilitate the use of workforce planning techniques to enable the identification of workforce implications of proposed models of care.
•Develop and maintain a local workforce database so that workforce plans developed for the use of the Programme Team are accurate and reflect the existing and changing workforce.
•Work closely with education commissioners, training and development leads and KSF leads in partner organisations to ensure that skills profiles are developed for existing and new roles.
The successful candidate will have excellent project management experience within the NHS, as well as experience in:
•Implementing change management process •Working in a workforce planning or workforce information role (At least 3 years). •Specialist knowledge of Workforce Planning techniques
A Prince 2 qualification at foundation level, or equivalent is desirable, as will a professional registered qualification in Health or Social Care or a business related qualification (e.g. CIPD).
