An exciting London based opportunity has just become available for an experienced Supported Housing Manager. This is an urgent opportunity caused by staff sabbatical x2013 it will be working within a unique service.

The successful candidate will be working for a small-medium South London based charity and will be responsible for the operational management of a 15 bed project which aims to help female offenders to re-build bonds with their children upon release from prison.

The successful candidate will play an integral part in the development of the service and will work closely with a number of external agencies and partners.

They have an entirely new service dedicated to securing paid work for people who are looking for freedom from their past substance misuse issues. They are currently seeking two Employment Caseworkers to join this new service one working 20 hours per week and one working 40 hours per week.

The main purpose of the Employment Caseworker role is to work with employers and training providers as well as working with groups and individuals to prepare them for employment. Within these roles main responsibilities will include providing practical support with moving on to employment and further learning by conducting regular one to ones providing new clients with an effective induction service and pro-actively gaining and managing employment vacancy information to ensure it is current and relevant for the target customer group shared with the team and accessible to customers. You will also be expected to deliver CV writing job-searching interview skills and other employment focussed coaching organise and facilitate group job-search and support and personally design and deliver basic training sessions eg employability IT etc.
